Each of these works now. Pick the one that fits how your money is held.

Online, once

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer

Choose an amount on the donate page and pay through Stripe's secure checkout. Your emailed receipt carries our EIN and states that no goods or services were provided, which is the written acknowledgment the IRS asks for on a gift of $250 or more.

A cash gift. From 2026 it can count toward the $1,000 ($2,000 joint) deduction for people who don't itemize. What counts as cash.

Monthly

Card or bank transfer, every month

Pick "Give Monthly" on the donate page. The same amount goes out each month until you tell us to stop; email us and we will cancel it.

Each payment is a cash gift in the year it is charged. The 2026 deduction without itemizing.

Give monthly

In memory or in honor of someone

Online, once or monthly

On the donate page, tick "Give in memory or in honor of someone" and type their name. If you add an email for a family member, we send them a short personal note that a gift was made, without the amount. Giving by check? Write the name on the memo line.

For taxes it is an ordinary gift. How a memorial gift works.

Give in someone's name

By check

Mail it to our office

Make it payable to NYC Honor Foundation Inc. and mail it to 7720 82nd St, Glendale, NY 11385-7635. Email eslyn@nychonor.org so we know it is coming and can send your acknowledgment letter.

A cash gift, counted in the year you mail it. Receipts and the $250 rule.

From a donor-advised fund

Fidelity Charitable, Schwab, BNY Mellon and others

Recommend a grant to NYC Honor. If your fund is at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab or BNY Mellon you can start it on our page in one step; for any other sponsor the page lists every detail they will ask for.

Money given to a donor-advised fund does not count toward the new $1,000 ($2,000 joint) deduction for people who don't itemize.

Give from a DAF

From your IRA

Age 70½ or older

Ask your IRA custodian to send a gift straight to NYC Honor. The page has a calculator for your required minimum distribution and the words to use with your custodian. Custodians set mid-December cutoffs, so start by early December.

Up to $111,000 per person for 2026. The gift never counts as income, so it helps whether or not you itemize.

Give from an IRA

As a business sponsor

$1,000, $3,900 or $5,000

Sponsor a team's season, a year of the free money course, or a tournament trip. Sponsors are acknowledged by name and logo. A board member answers you personally, usually within two days. Wire transfers are arranged by email.

Your tax professional can confirm how a sponsorship is treated for your business.

An item for the auction

Online auction, November 21 to December 1

We are collecting autographed items and game-day experiences for our Giving Tuesday auction. We thank each item donor by name on the item's listing. Email eslyn@nychonor.org to offer one.

Donated items follow the noncash gift rules. The 2026 deduction guide.

About the auction
For any form, custodian or attorney: NYC Honor Foundation Inc. · EIN 42-1836369 · 501(c)(3) public charity · 7720 82nd St, Glendale, NY 11385-7635 · eslyn@nychonor.org · IRS determination letter. Custodian and fund checks often arrive with no donor name on them, so an email from you is how we know to thank you.

Other ways to give

These are not set up yet. If one of them is how you want to give, email eslyn@nychonor.org and we will tell you what we can do today.

  • Gifts of stock. Not set up yet: we do not have a brokerage account to receive shares. If you have a donor-advised fund, you can give the shares to your fund and recommend a grant to us; here is how.
  • Employer matching gifts. Many companies match what employees give. Ask HR whether your company matches gifts to 501(c)(3) charities. If its program runs through a giving portal we are not listed on yet, tell us which one.
  • A gift in your will. Your attorney will need our legal name, NYC Honor Foundation Inc., our EIN, 42-1836369, and our address above. If you include us, we would like to thank you.
  • Workplace payroll giving. Through your employer's giving program, if it lists us.
  • Cryptocurrency, vehicles, and Facebook or Instagram fundraisers. Not available yet.

The 2026 tax rules, in one place

Not tax advice; ask your tax preparer how a gift applies to you.

The foundation's treasurer and secretary are affiliated with Sirmium Capital, the 2026 season's founding sponsor. Sponsorships are acknowledged, never compensated with promotion.

Where a gift goes

$5,000 carries one team's full season: travel, uniforms and tournament entry. Players are charged nothing to play, and every athlete can take our money course at no cost.
