Head Men's Basketball Coach, Fairfield University

Head coach at Fairfield since March 2024, after taking the job on an interim basis. He has won 20 or more games twice: 24 wins in 2023-24 and a 21-13 season in 2025-26. Only one other coach in school history has done that.

John Gallagher

Head Men's Basketball Coach, Manhattan University

Head coach at Manhattan since March 2023, with 24 years coaching college basketball. He won 169 games at Hartford and took them to the NCAA Tournament in 2021. In one year at Manhattan he turned a 7 win team into a 17 win team.

Mike DePaoli

Associate Head Coach, Hofstra University

In his fifth year on the Hofstra staff and his first as associate head coach, after 11 seasons at Fordham. Hofstra has finished top two in the CAA for defense in each of the last four years. Last season they won 24 games, took the conference title, and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001.

Who is behind the clinic

NYC Honor is a 501(c)(3) public charity in Queens, and it runs a basketball program alongside a financial literacy program. Your registration does not fund it. Donations do, and this is the work they pay for.

Players pay nothing

No team fee, no participation fee. In a sport where programs commonly bill families thousands of dollars a season, that is the choice the foundation exists to fund.

A Division I offer

On August 2, Boston University offered a scholarship to Anthony Mauro, a junior. He has two more seasons still ahead of him.

Money, taught properly

Every athlete gets the financial literacy and NIL curriculum, taught by licensed professionals, at no cost to the family.

The 2026 season

The team reached a national final in Baltimore and put out Team Iverson to get there. See the season.

$5,000

carries one team for a full season: travel, uniforms, and tournament entry. That is the unit the foundation raises against, and any part of it helps.

Before you register

Who is this for?

Head coaches, assistants and volunteers at the high school, CYO, AAU and youth levels. No experience requirement and no affiliation needed.

Can I bring my whole staff?

Yes, and it is cheaper. Three or more coaches from the same staff pay $70 each instead of $75, at any point, including after the early bird ends. Set the number of tickets before you check out and the price adjusts itself. For more than 20 seats, call Mike at (347) 297-0483.

What if I cannot make it?

Tickets are not refundable, but you can pass yours to another coach. Email us the name and we will move it. If the clinic is called off, everyone gets their money back in full.

Who receives my registration payment?

Mike Murray, who runs the clinic. It does not go to NYC Honor Foundation. His name, not the foundation's, is what will show on your card statement. Donations to the foundation are a separate thing and do go to the foundation.

Can I write this off?

No. You are paying for a seat at a clinic, so it is a purchase and not a charitable gift. A separate donation to the foundation is deductible.

What does it cost?

$75 a coach through September 11. From September 12 it is $90. A staff bringing three or more coaches pays $70 each the whole way through, so a staff of three costs less than two individual seats after the 12th.

St. Francis Prep is at 6100 Francis Lewis Blvd, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365. We email parking details and the door to use the week of the clinic.
